BASKETBALL

Milford Hoop Camp

Dan Murray, the Milford High School varsity boys basketball coach, will be holding his annual Hoop Camp for boys and girls ages 7-16. The first session will run from July 6-10, with the second session scheduled for July 27-31, at the middle school. Sneakers are required and each camper receives a free T-shirt. Fruit, water and punch are provided, pizza will be sold at lunch or campers can bring a lunch. For more information, call 672-7140.

FIELD HOCKEY

Milford camp

Tracie Ibarra, the Milford High School varsity field hockey coach, will be holding a camp for players in Grades 1-9. The camp will run from Aug. 3-6, with players in Grades 1-5 attending from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and players in Grades 6-9 from 12:20-3:30 p.m.

There will also be a free clinic held on Thursdays this summer for middle school students interested in playing field hockey.

CAMPS

Nashua Baseball Academy

The Nashua Baseball Academy is holding two baseball camps rain or shine at its indoor/outdoor facilty at 265 Proctor Hill Road in Hollis July 6-10 and 13-17.

Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day and the fee is $125 per week and discounted to $100 per week for members. The camp dates are July 6 to July 10, and, July 13 to 17. The camps will focus on developing players skills and practicing those skills in games and competitions.

Volleyball

The Thunderbirds Juniors Beach Volleyball Club is currently holding Session Two of its beach volleyball training series for girls and boys ages 10 – 18 at the sand courts at the Brookline Ball Park.

Academy Camp

Summer Camp at Nashua Sports Academy starts June 22, and runs weekly thru Aug. 28.

Silver Knights
Baseball Camp

The Nashua Silver Knights will be hosting their annual baseball camp at Holman Stadium July 13-17 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The cost is $199 per camper, open to youths ages seven to 14, although others can be considered under special circumstances.

Campers will receive a Nashua Silver Knights Summer Baseball Camp T-shirt and four reserved tickets to the Camp Day game, and campers will take part in a pre-game parade. Lunch will be served each day of the camp, and water will be provided.

Windham Wrestling Camp

The Windham High School wrestling staff will host a four-day youth wrestling camp June 22-25 from 3-6 p.m. for students entering grades K-9 (pre-K wrestlers also welcome at parent/coach discretion).

Designed for all levels of experience, the camp will focus on wrestling skills as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, nutrition, and proper training methods

Campers will receive personal tips, personal letters home, and other gifts from their counselors. Members of the Windham High School wrestling team will be on hand. The cost of camp is $100 per wrestler, and additional siblings are only $25 each.

UNH Field Hockey Clinics

The University of New Hampshire field hockey program will host youth clinics on July 10 and July 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. open to girls and boys attending kindergarten to fourth grade. Each clinic costs $55.

Middle and high school athletes, will be held Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. The cost is $25. Contact Ross Gorham or Claire Grogan via email to register.

Softball Clinic

The Danielle Henderson Softball Academy at UMass Lowell will hold summer clinics on July 13-15 for youths in grades three through six and July 27-29 for grades seven through 12.

Umass Lowell coaches and players will offer instruction in pitching, hitting, and defense.

Soccer Camps

The UMass Lowell women’s soccer program will hold two four-day summer camps.

There will be two River Hawk Soccer Academy sessions aimed at two differing age groups. The first runs from July 31 through August 3 and is open to girls age 13 and up. It will be an intense training camp that will focus on both the technical and tactical sides of the game.

Those signing up for the camp will have the choice of attending as either a commuter or residential participant. The registration fee is $495 for residential players and $395 for commuter attendees.

The second camp session is open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 and will be a mix of technical stations, small sided games and individual instruction.

Campers will also have supervised access to the UMass Lowell swimming pool.The registration fee is $225 for a full day session and $125 for half day attendees.

Enrollment, for both camps, is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.

UNH Boys Soccer Camps

The University of New Hampshire men’s soccer program, along with Soccer Sphere (a year round soccer training business), will host many camps during the summer of 2015.

The first camp is set for Saturday, July 18 and is the Soccer Sphere College ID Days open to boys ages 15-18. The single day event begins at 8:50 a.m. and concludes at 5 p.m.

The cost is $79.95 for the day. Activities include an athletic facility tour, field player drills and goalkeeper training and an 11 on 11 match.

The second camp is the residential camp running from Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 on the UNH campus and is open to boys ages nine-18. The cost of the camp is $475 for day campers and $595 for residential campers and includes five days of soccer training and instruction, a camp t-shirt, three meals per day and on-campus housing in a UNH dormitory.

UNH Girls Soccer Camps

The University of New Hampshire women’s soccer summer camps on July 13 and July 19 still have spots available.

The day camp will run from Monday, July 13 through Thursday, July 16 from 9 a.m to noon on Bremner Field and is open to those entering grades 1 through 5 in the 2015-16 academic year.

The fee of $150 includes a camp t-shirt and a soccer ball.

The overnight camp starts Sunday, July 19 and concludes Wednesday, July 22 and is open to girls entering grades 6 through 12 in the 2015-16 academic year.

Two options are available as campers can be commuters or stay overnight. Both include a camp t-shirt and ball, a full evening program and three meals daily at the University dining halls. The commuter cost runs at $375 while the overnight price is $475.

UNH field hockey camps

The University of New Hampshire field hockey program will hold a pair of four-day summer camp sessions, July 5-8 and July 9-12.

Both camps are open to junior high and high school students (as of fall 2015). Each session offers overnight ($475) and commuter ($375) options, both of which consist of four days of field hockey instruction, a full evening program and three meals daily. The overnight package also includes on-campus lodging in a UNH dormitory.

Day One of camp includes afternoon (2-4 p.m.) and evening (6-8 p.m.) sessions with an optional evening play (8:30-9:30 p.m.).

Days Two and Three consist of a morning (8:30-11 a.m.), afternoon and evening session as well as the optional evening play. Day Four concludes with a morning session.

UNH Girls Ice Hockey Camp

The University of New Hampshire women’s ice hockey program will hold its annual Girls Ice Hockey Camp on July 13-17 at the Whittemore Center.

The camp is open to girls ages 6-18 and split into three divisions: U-18 (ages 14-18), U-14 (ages 10-13) and U-10 (ages 6-9).

The cost of the camp is $525; a $200 deposit is due at sign up and the balance is due July 1.

Camp is daily 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; early drops (7 a.m.) and late pick ups (6 p.m.) are available.

Campers check in Monday, July 13 at the Whittemore Center. At that time, each camper will receive a camp jersey, t-shirt and finalized daily schedule.

Activities include ice time, ball hockey, field activities, off-ice chalk talk, dryland training, weight training and lunch.

UNH Boys Basketball Camp

Registration is open for the upcoming University of New Hampshire Boys Basketball Wildcat Day Camp set for July 27-30 at UNH’s Lundholm Gymnasium and Paul Sweet Oval.

The day camp is open to any and all participants from grades two to nine. For boys in grades 2-5, camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The longer camp, 9 a.m to 3 p.m.is for grades 6-9.

Besides instruction for beginners and advanced youth, there will be two games per day and skill development sessions.

Each camper will receive a tee shirt and a UNH basketball. Camp prices are $90 for grades 2-5 and $175 for grades 6-9.

UNH Girls Basketball Day Camp

The University of New Hampshire women’s basketball team announced that registration is still available for both sessions of the 2015 Girl’s Basketball Wildcat Day Camp at Lunholm Gym.

The camp is open to any and all girls entering ninth grade as of Fall 2015 and is split into two sessions. Session 1 runs from Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 and Session 2 runs from Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17. Camp check-in will start at 8:30 a.m. on the Monday of each session. The hours of each day go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for the final day of each session, which will end at 2 p.m.

Campers should bring a boxed lunch, change of sneakers, swimsuit, towel and a water bottle to each day of camp.
